You may be wondering how a smoking gadget like hookah is being set. Here is a simpler way to understand how to set up a hookah and start smoking shishas. First, we have to know the different parts of this hookah before you could actually put them together.

First thing to do is to place the hookah stem into the glass case. Make sure that they fit and seal right. Then place the metal tray on the top of the hookah stem. You have to make sure that it is tightly sealed so that the tray will not fall down when in use. Some hookahs have their trays fixed. Then insert the end of the hose to the hose port on the stem. Some hookahs come with an air release valve. This is placed opposite the hose port on the stem.

You may have to check on the air flow by putting your hand over the top of the stem and see if there is air coming through. Next, remove the hookah stem from the vase and fill it with water. Then, put the stem back on and it should be submerged into water for about an inch. Now you are ready to put in the shisha tobacco into the clay bowl. You may break up the tobacco and sprinkle it in the bowl. The shisha tobacco should fill up to the rim but not over it. Now place the clay bowl on the top of the hookah stem; it should fit in perfectly.
For the smoking proper, you may now light your coals using a lighter or match. Then make sure that the coals are red hot all over before placing them on top of your clay bowl. Break the coals into smaller pieces to evenly distribute them. Then, inhale on your hose. Now, you are smoking from your self-assembled hookah.
